had i known how FREAKING IMPORTANT eyebrows were going to be from my 30's throughout the rest of my life - i NEVER WOULD HAVE LET CASEY PLUCK THEM INTO OBLIVION WHEN I WAS 15.
i am 38 years old. and my best girlfriend kellie's mom started plucking my eyebrows when i was 15.
they looked like a caterpillar had a baby with a centipede... and a horse's tail. ugh.
i STOPPED plucking them about 7 years ago, but alas - they no longer grow....
AND NOW I NEED THEM.
i have come very close to getting them tattooed on many times, but ultimately shy away-
because i wash my face a lot, and i know what happens to tattoos when you get them wet all the time.
BLUR MUCH? yes. and on my face? no thanks.
so pencil life it is.
and here is my inspiration.
just to be clear - i hate ALL THESE WOMEN for not growing up in the 90's when plucking your eyebrows into one strand single-file line of hairs was the fashion. ugh. curse you, high school.
i remember in the early 2000's when bustier brows started coming back into style...
drew barrymore started growing hers back out for a role, and the world seemed to follow.
i, however, was addicted to plucking mine. i was so used to seeing my face with slim brows
that i just didn't grasp the concept. plus, i thought thin ones would eventually come back in.
they never did... and they shouldn't!
thick, bushy brows look natural, healthy, and gorgeous!
i REGRET ever plucking mine, and would grow them back out to their original shape again
IF I COULD. but i cannot :(
so i'm left dreaming...
i'm not saying i won't EVER get them tattooed... one day i may!
i feel like i'm still a little young to start messing with my face, but one day i am going to need an eye lift
because my left eye has a ptosis, and has gotten a lot worse over the past 3 years alone... i can't imagine what it'll look like in another decade! my doctor has already recommended i try botox to stunt it's decent, but i am REALLY scared of messing with my face.... it's never been great to begin with, and i'm afraid it'll get even worse with cosmetic surgery! lol!
but one day - it will be necessary... just so i can see properly.
so maybe at that time - i'll get my little french wing tip eyeliner and my eyebrows tattooed on,
and then never have to worry about them again.
I CAN DREAM! ;D
