week of bug: the last 24 hours

the last 24 hours have been some of the best of my whole entire life.
i dont think i'll ever be able to describe the feeling i get when im with my niece.
shes just a piece of my heart... i know everyone thinks their kids are special,
but bug really is extraordinary.

in the last 24 hours we have...
finished my green ruffle lampshade.
met all my friends and had a dance partay at rehearsal.
not been separated at ALL for even 10 seconds.
watched every alvin and the chipmunks movie we could find...
modeled for S&BB
swam until we were unbelievably sunburned and played with the dogs til our feet looked like this...
and had a tea partay... with outfits bug picked out....

not to mention the 7 hours we've spent in the pool, the love affair she started with shaggy at rehearsal last night, and the times we've laughed until we both had tears rolling down our cheeks...

for the first time in 4 days she is downstairs while i am upstairs trying to take a nap, and i miss her so much i am going to have to go find her... what am i gonna when she leaves on saturday? :(

a morning with bugs bunny

so, many of you know my niece, bug - aka elizabeth. aka- the greatest kid the world has ever known.
she is the eternal rock star. love of my life. i would do absolutely ANYTHING for this kid.
well she decided we needed to have a photoshoot this morning.
"just a little one auntie shelly. just on your computer green thingie" which i assumed was the built in camera
that has the green light when its on. she looked adorable. i looked... well....
man i love this kid....

stay tuned for lots lots more! its a week of bug! <3

(and oh, if you're wondering why im so leathery tanny, its because i swim 2 hours every day with the dogs.
yeah. a pretty good reason to get skin cancer, i think. im bound to look like george hamilton by the end of the summer...)

today's picture story: A WEEK (or 2) OFF!

hello hello! i've MISSED YOU! 
ive been so nutsy busy. 
last week we moved into the theatre for our rehearsals of the show that opens sunday,
and had rehearsals every night from 6 - 10 or 11.
then we flew my auntie june in to surprise my dad for his 70th bday.
then my sister and her family surprised him on friday.
then we (aka: i ) threw him a huge bashy 70th bday surprise on sunday night.
and now my 5 year old niece is staying for a week with me.

BUSY. just bananas.
BUT! i have a few minutes free right now while shes with grams at the store, so i thought i'd take advantage *yawn*

im not going to do a weekly round up this week, im going to save it for next week.
as LAST week was so busy, i hardly got to do ANY of my "of the week" stuff,
and those of you who read this have admitted via fb that "swamplandia" is kind of hard to get through.
WORD. im going to have to totally start it over once my show opens.
AT ANY RATE. here is a fun picture story for you, and then, i'm off. possibly for the next week as well.
im going to get all my 20 days off the computer (summer check list) in a row! <3
