i take a mean picture :)

i mean... come ON. could she be anymore precious snuggled in the tree john and i planted when we were like, 7 and 10? amazing <3 today was my lindsay date. i missed her. im so happy for all her success and everyone embracing her and all the work she's about to do... but most of all, im proud of the character she has maintained. she's such a GOOD. PERSON.

i love my lindsay. we've known each other for so long, its hard to remember a time when i DIDN'T know of this little young talented being off somewhere in my peripheral vision...

we did Seussical The Musical together when she was like, 10 or 11 or something. and throughout the years, we always kept our eye on each other, albeit from afar. i dont remember when we connected as "Adults" (she being an adult now...) but we did. and boy did we EVER connect. lindsay is a kindred spirit. and so i invited her to do the 3rd cycle of "just wait and see..." and she played one of the leads. she stole my heart. and she went from a kindred spirit to a soul mate.

now lindsay is one of the people in my life i love the most. and i am SO happy she is in my life in a BIG way. she is going to go on to do great things, and i can't wait to be here cheering for her every step of the way <3

Lindsay recently placed as a finalist on the Oxygen reality show The Glee Project, and will be guest starring in 2 upcoming episodes of Glee, season 3.

Project 365: the marilyn outtakes

so i got to work with a new friend today :) marilyn is AMAZING.
what a classic beauty. she definitely lives up to her name.
someone should have told me NOT to take a picture with her. ouch.
never felt worse about myself.... well, ya know how it goes.

here's some extra ones :) the sun kept wanting to eat her face. it was frustrating. that massive white dot. grrrrrr.
but we got a few good ones out of the 104 i snapped of her :) here are my faves - the 2nd one is my fave of the ENTIRE bunch- BUT THE GLARE ON HER FACE. ugh. ugh. ugh. kills me. ive got to photograph her again. stay tuned :)

project 365, and a surprise.

i'll do the surprise first.
SURPRISE! i broke my toe today. UNBELIEVABLE. i'd post a picture, but ... vomit.
it's truly nasty. it's only a hairline fracture, but eff it feels like my entire leg is broken right now.
not to mention, the way i broke it was by tripping over juniper who likes to walk between my legs-
and SLAMMING my entire foot into the curb and splitting my toenail right down the middle.
its truly a disgusting sight. and you know me. i hate doctors. so this day has been fun.
honestly i took some pictures, but they turn my stomach. so im not going to post them.

SECOND order of business, i am going to become another one of those photography a-holes who thinks they're amazing, and try my hand at project 365 again. i can't believe im doing this. i swore i'd never try it again after i attempted it 2 years ago and got 4 days in and totally lost interest. but i have actually become VERY good at following through. its like, my brain has focused and now if i say im going to do something- there's little that stops me from doing it.

there's one picture, because its day 1 :) soon there will be hundreds :)
i figured- what better year to document than the year i'm not supposed to finish, right?
it'll be good :) plus some adventures will ensue on my quest to be interesting...
so there you have it. project 365 starts today, and my right 2nd toe is broken in half.
ok its supposed to heal quickly, but it hurts like a mother humper.
